The sunshine woke
The darkened corners
Of my heart
Like ocean waves
On lonely sands
In midnight dark

I crept out
From in my cave
Down on all fours
Hoping you’d save
Me from myself

We let the time
Tick on the wall
While we took count
Of all the stars
Above our heads

We let Time
Heal all the scars
While we took in
The clouds we saw
Passing us by
Like kites waltzing
To wind chimes

There we sat
You next to me
Just like we had before
And there we were
Just you and I
Knocking on another door

Welcome Back

Welcome back
To where we were
Before you gave me
Away to yesterday

Tomorrow came rushing
Like a wave
Across the dusty
Plains of my sickened brain

The night was cold
Like your embrace
It froze the tears
Of shame running
Like streams
Across my face

Welcome back
To where we were
Before you sold me
Off to yesterday
